Zechariah and Elizabeth’s story (Luke 1) is the lead-up to the birth of John the Baptist. Zechariah was a priest serving in God’s temple when the angel Gabriel appeared with surprising news. His wife Elizabeth, who had never been able to have children and was now old, was going to have a baby boy named John.
Zechariah found it hard to believe. Because he doubted, he couldn’t speak until the promise came true. For around nine months he stayed silent, watching God’s words unfold.
This craft captures that moment of shock, with movable arms that wave in surprise. It reminds children that God keeps His promises, even when they seem impossible. And the wonderful news? Elizabeth had a healthy baby boy, John the Baptist, just as the angel said.
