Jesus in the Temple Bible Craft
When Jesus was finally found after three days, Mary and Joseph discovered He was in the temple – listening to the teachers and asking questions. How many of your children ask questions? And when they do, how do you answer?
Treat a spiritual question from a child like gold. It’s not just a question – it’s a window to their mind that they have opened.
Jesus modelled curiosity and engagement with God’s word. He didn’t passively listen; He asked questions. When your children show that same hunger to understand faith, that’s a sacred moment.
Foster their curiosity with prayer and truly satisfy their questions – don’t just answer and move on. A simple question may not need a complete answer immediately. Don’t forget what they ask. If your child asks, “What’s heaven like?” make this a topic of conversation in the days or weeks to come. Let their questions lead to deeper conversations about faith, not quick dismissals.
